GYBLL is an all-volunteer run league. Below you can read about each type of volunteer activity available.After you've recieved notice your player has been assigned to a team and set up in the volunteer portal, come back to this site.
Head Coach
The head coach is in charge of coordinating volunteers on a team, managing the lineup and positions during games
Bench Coach
The bench coach is in charge of keeping order on the bench, ensuring players have their equipment and know when to bat.
Base Coach
The base coach helps during games and directs players around the bases using hand signals and talking when on base.
Practice Coach
The practice coach runs or helps to run practice. The practice coach works on drills including pitching, catching, batting, and baserunning.
Scorekeeper
The scorekeeper keeps score at games using a phone application. This assists in managing pitchcounts, batting order and providing overall stats
Bingo Coordinator
Each team provides support at the annual Labor Day bingo fundraising event. The coordinator works with players to provide support to the adult bingo volunteers.
Social Coordinator
The social coordinator communciates with other teams, state of practice and game fields, and organizes the annual team party.
Umpire Reserve
The umpire is trained and prepared to step in and umpire home games if a professional umpire is not available.
League-wide Volunteer
There are a few league-wide volunteer positions which are vacant. Contact the head coach for details.
